Company G4S Secure Solutions (CZ), a leading provider of security services in the area of the protection of property and persons, provided security services during two important events in September. From the 22nd to 24th of September the company took care of the safety of the visitors of the historically first Laver Cup and one day later it supervised a unique crossing of the Staromestké Square performed by tightrope walkers.

G4S provided security services during the prestigious Laver Cup tournament, the first year of which took place in O2 Arena in Prague. G4S employees worked at 288 posts for 16 000 hours in total, the most of the time during playing days, from Friday to Sunday. ”The preparations for the event themselves had naturally started much earlier and the concluding work continued several days after the prestigious tournament ended. We have extensive experience in providing security services at O2 Arena which we were able to make good use of also in the case of Laver Cup,” adds Lenka Nováková, Business Development Director of G4S Czech Republic.

G4S has been taking care of safety during events of similar importance for a long time. „It was the experience with the provision of security services during similar events that was the decisive factor for us to choose G4S, and I can honestly say we made a right decision. They did a great job, says Štepán Dlouhý, one of the organisers of the “Žijeme na hrane” event, the aim of which was to draw attention to the difficulties people suffering from diabetes have to face. With regards to the fact that diabetics are living so called “on the edge”, the organisers of the event decided to emphasise this problem by means of a unique crossing of Staromestské námestí performed by tightrope walkers sixty meters high above the heads of the visitors.
