History
G4S worldwide has been operating in the field of security for more than 100 years. It started to offer its services in the Czech Republic in 1990, when it was known as GROUP 4 SECURITAS.
GROUP 4 SECURITAS, a.s was registered on 3rd of October 1990 and was one of the first of security agencies in the former Czechoslovakia. It has experienced enormous growth right from the start of its activities, quickly establishing itself as one of the biggest and most respected cash and security service providers in the country.
The first service to be provided by GROUP 4 SECURITAS in 1990 was guarding.
Spring 1991 saw the arrival of the first three armored vehicles that would be used for cash transport services and an intensive training period began for of crews and managers.
Rapid development in the period 1992-1998 saw the emergence of a number of new branch offices across the Czech Republic, as well as the opening of Cash Processing Centers in Prague, Brno and Ostrava. The company became a leader in the provision of security services, transport and the processing of cash, including the service of automatic teller machines (ATM).
In 2004 the comapny’s trading name was changed to Group 4 Falck, a.s.
The ownership structure was changed again in September 2006 when the two areas of business separated and two different join-stock companies G4S Cash Services (CZ), a.s. and G4S Security Services (CZ), a.s. were formed.
November 2010 - In line with the global strategy of the international group G4S Plc. and because of the unification of corporate identity were changed the company names:
G4S Cash Solutions (CZ), a.s.
G4S Secure Solutions (CZ). a.s.
In 2011 G4S celebrated the twentieth anniversary on the Czech market of security services.
Both companies are members of the international company G4S Plc., which is the largest security solutions provider in the world. The company provides services in 125 countries and employs more than 635,000 people.
